Wears Valley + Townsend Trail
A playful Everwild quest through scenic backroads, peaceful river stops, local shops, mountain views, Cades Cove, casual food, elevated Appalachian dining, and the quieter side of the Smokies.
Best for: Cades Cove days, peaceful scenic drives, families, couples, tubing, local shops, mountain views, slower meals, and guests who want a break from the busier Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge areas.
Choose one level or complete all three.
How It Works
Pick a level based on your day, your group, and how much exploring you want to do.
You can take photos, write down your finds, or simply enjoy the moment. Nothing needs to be collected or removed.
Before You Begin
This trail is flexible. You do not need to complete every clue in one day.
Wears Valley and Townsend are best enjoyed slowly. This trail is not meant to include everything. It is a curated Everwild-style quest to help you choose a few memorable stops without feeling overwhelmed.
Check hours, reservations, tickets, weather, seasonal schedules, tubing conditions, and national park road updates before heading out.

Find the seasonal roadside place where burgers, fries, ice cream, and milkshakes feel like an old-school mountain day.
Find: Burger Master Drive-In
