Gatlinburg Trail

A playful Everwild quest through coffee stops, hidden corners, handmade finds, mountain views, scenic roads, and unexpected Gatlinburg moments.

Best for: first-time Gatlinburg visitors, couples, families, coffee lovers, photo moments, scenic drives, and guests who want a fun way to explore without feeling overwhelmed.

Choose one level or complete all three.

How It Works

Pick a level based on your day, your group, and how much exploring you want to do.

You can take photos, write down your finds, or simply enjoy the moment. Nothing needs to be collected or removed.

Please enjoy the cabin safely, respect the property, and do not climb, move furniture, disturb wildlife, enter locked areas, or access any restricted spaces.

Before You Begin

This trail is flexible. You do not need to complete every clue in one day.

Some stops may require tickets, reservations, parking, or advance planning. Hours, weather, road access, and seasonal availability can change, so check directly before heading out.

Please be respectful of local businesses, private property, wildlife, traffic, and national park rules.

Level 1: Mountain Seeker

The Downtown Hidden Corners Quest

Find the one-way forest road named for a rushing mountain stream, where historic places, pull-offs, trees, and water make Gatlinburg feel wild again.

Quest: Drive slowly, stop only where safe and allowed, and notice one historic structure, stream, or forest detail.

Photo Challenge: Take one photo of moving water, moss, old wood, or forest light.

Clue 2: The Cabin From Another Time

Find a place that reminds you that people once lived in the mountains long before Gatlinburg became a vacation town.

Find: A historic cabin, mill, or structure along Roaring Fork or nearby park areas
