AeroPress

AeroPress Original

A quick and simple way to make smooth, rich coffee during your stay.

A Little History

The AeroPress was invented in 2005 by American engineer and inventor Alan Adler. It became popular for making flavorful coffee quickly using gentle air pressure and a paper filter.

Today, coffee lovers appreciate the AeroPress because it is easy to use, easy to clean, and flexible enough to make anything from a strong concentrated cup to a smoother, more traditional coffee.

How to Use the AeroPress

What You’ll Need

AeroPress
Paper filter
Ground coffee
Hot water
Sturdy mug
Stirrer or spoon

Step 1: Add the Filter

Place one paper filter inside the filter cap.

Twist the filter cap securely onto the bottom of the AeroPress chamber.

Step 2: Place It on Your Mug

Set the AeroPress directly on top of a sturdy mug.

Make sure it is centered and stable before adding hot water.

Step 3: Add Coffee

Add 1 level scoop of ground coffee to the chamber.

Use slightly more coffee if you prefer a stronger cup.

Step 4: Add Hot Water

Pour hot water into the chamber to the desired level.

The water should be hot, but not actively boiling.

Step 5: Stir

Stir gently for about 10 seconds.

Step 6: Press Slowly

Insert the plunger and press down slowly and steadily.

Stop when you hear a soft hiss.

Step 7: Make It Your Own

Drink it as-is for a stronger cup, add hot water for a smoother, more traditional coffee, or customize it with any creamer, sweetener, syrup, or flavoring you bring along.

Creamers, sweeteners, syrups, and flavorings are not provided with your stay.

After Use

Remove the filter cap and press the used coffee grounds and paper filter into the trash.

Please do not put coffee grounds down the sink.

Rinse the AeroPress pieces after use and allow them to dry.
